multi-platform Advertising

Overview

The goal of this project was to produce a multi-platform advertisement campaign for the fictional brand, STUDI, maintaining a consistent image across all platforms using an existing colour palette and font family.

STUDI is an online study platform that provides various learning materials, such as videos, online quizzes, and worked examples.

Their target audience includes students, including international students, parents, and teachers.

Deliverables were:

  • Bus shelter advertisement
  • Magazine/newspaper advertisement
  • Social media/Instagram advertisement.

The project also had a written task that involved research into organisational requirements, developing timelines and advertisement schedules, and budgeting.

Ideation

Since STUDI wants to attract students, teachers, and parents, I wanted to create a visual style that could accommodate to each audience.

I wanted a style that was friendly, bright, and inviting but clean, smart, and professional. I also wanted to effectively utilise all three colour variations from STUDI’s brand guidelines.

I also developed the tagline, “Learning, how you like it.” to emphasise STUDI’s user-friendly platform.

Production

To create friendly but professional looking visuals, I did drawings of students in a minimal style, inspired by the visual trend of corporate-memphis.

I also wanted to incorporate a graphic element that could be repeated throughout the multi-platform ads to further strengthen their consistency and add to STUDI’s visual identity.

I came up with a ribbon-like graphic, that helps with creating movement and flow within the advertisement, as well as implying progression and passing goals or “finish-lines”.
